The
Old State House
The Old State House,
the oldest surviving public building in Boston, was built in 1713
to house the government offices of the Massachusetts Bay Colony. Today
the Old State House is a museum of Boston history, with exhibits and
artifacts from the colonial and revolutionary periods. Open daily
with a small admission fee.
